So it was back to getting The Ithaca closer to where she needed to be! While we had been a bit sidetracked, RJ had been starting to paint the cabinet faces and had been taking some of the doors to her house, painting them, and installing new cabinet handles.
We were storing everything we needed for working on it inside of it- so the interior was pretty cluttered. We were going to have to get that straightened up too before we moved her.
But first we had to get the exterior finished- so it was cab painting time!
With The Ithaca finally Gaco painted, it was time to re-install her big ol’ original awning! To gain a stout point of purchase at the back of the vehicle (So we didn’t emulate below again) the awning had to go in front of the window a little bit. Don’t worry though- that is a really nice big window and the view is still wide open!
Then we pulled the plastic and tape off of the cab.
Next RJ pulled the grill on her rig, and we gave hit a new spray of Hammer Steel Finish. While it was off we painted the bumper in bed liner. I even pulled the Toyota Emblem from the grill, hand painted it to freshen it up, and clear coated it. We dug the idea so much we pulled Serenity’s grill and did the same thing. The only difference is the coloring inside the Toyota Emblems- The Ithaca ended up with red, and Serenity’s is blue. Afterwards we had a pretty slick setup!
Then we installed the little awning on the other side!
Last but not least we re-installed all the light covers, and painted the rear bumper in bed liner too. (Sorry Everyone, All I have is a pic of the rear bumper I took this winter- better than nothing? 😆)
But with that, the exterior of The Ithaca was finally finished- so next was to get our inside list of chores complete!
